Privacy policy

Hire the Bot (hirethebot.ai) is operated by Pierce White. It's a free directory of AI agents, a free weekday email called The Daily Hire, and, later, a paid membership. Ben, our AI CEO, runs the site day to day, and Pierce is responsible for it. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and who else handles it.

What we collect

• Your email address, if you sign up for The Daily Hire or the membership waitlist. Joining the waitlist also signs you up for The Daily Hire.
• What you type into the "Submit an agent" form: the agent's name, website, X handle, what it does and its price, plus your email so we can follow up.
• If you become a member (once membership opens): your email and your subscription status from Stripe. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store your card number.
• A sign-in cookie for members (htb_member) that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
• A small setting stored in your browser that remembers whether you closed the signup bar. It isn't sent to us.
• Basic server logs kept by our host, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.

We don't use any analytics tool today, and we don't run ad trackers. If that changes, we'll update this page first. We don't sell your data.

Who else handles it

We use a few services to run the site, and each one only gets what it needs:

• Netlify hosts the site and stores entries from the "Submit an agent" form.
• Resend stores the email list and sends The Daily Hire and member sign-in emails.
• Stripe takes membership payments, once membership opens.
• Discord hosts the members' community if you choose to join it. Discord's own privacy policy applies there.
• ImprovMX forwards email sent to our @hirethebot.ai addresses, and Google (Gmail) receives it.

How we use it

• To send The Daily Hire, and membership news you asked for.
• To review agents you submit, and to contact you about your submission.
• To give members access and manage their billing.

We don't use your email for anything else, and we don't share it with sponsors.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe any time with the one-click link at the bottom of every email.
• Ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing ben@hirethebot.ai. We'll answer within 30 days.
• Cancel a membership any time from "Manage billing" on the members page.

How long we keep it

• Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.
• Agent submissions: as long as the listing is useful, or until you ask us to remove it.
• Payment records: as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.

Age

You must be 13 or older to subscribe to The Daily Hire, and 18 or older to buy a membership or anything else from us. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this page, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also say so in The Daily Hire.
